2019 Summer Power Skating

We appreciated your expertise and the work you put into each session. We felt confident knowing that our daughter would be learning and practicing the essential skills needed to become a better and more efficient skater. We would definitely choose Landonedge Power skating again.

2018 Summer Power Skating

We have 3 minor hockey players in our family, and they all enrolled in the 10 week power skating summer program offered by Landonedge.  The improvements in acceleration and top end speed by the end of the summer were obvious.   All three made the team they were aiming for this fall, and their new skating skills were key to this success during tryouts.

Todd and his staff have the right focus on technique, back it up with relevant off ice drills, and then reinforce it all with detailed video analysis that the kids could understand.  We’re very happy with the results.

2018 March Break Power Skating

The March Break program offered by Landonedge was the first program I have seen that offers in-depth, low student-teacher ratio, and provides high quality training. The personal video analysis of my daughters skating was not expected but was an amazing addition to what I expected from the program. It allowed my daughter (and myself) a unique view of how she currently skates and areas that she could improve.

2017-2019 Speed Skating Canada National Development Pool

Todd was my previous provincial coach in Manitoba and coached me in both long track and short track. Todd’s passion for speed skating was clearly evident which was passed down to the skaters. He would always make sure to give each skater time to give them technical feedback or just to see how they are feeling. While skating under Todd, my technique improved drastically and he allowed me to realize how good I can be at speed skating. Without being coached by Todd I doubt I would be where I am today in the National Development Pool and I am grateful for the opportunity to have been coached by him.

2015 Team Nova Scotia - Canada Winter Games Speed Skating

2019 Team Nova Scotia - Canada Winter Games Ringette

2019 Atlantic Attack - National Ringette League Silver Medalist

My skating experience started not long ago however Todd has been my coach from the beginning. The more I practiced the more I saw how invested Todd is in this sport. Todd has incredible knowledge of every aspect of skating and his goal to pass on this knowledge and skill to his skaters is amazing. Each skater I practiced with had their own strengths and weaknesses but Todd would make sure that each person knew what they should strive for. He would always find very specific things for me to focus on which enabled me to become aware of the intricacies of skating and how important each tiny movement is. When I started speed skating I could barely stand on short track speed skates however in three months I was able to compete at the Canada Games in Prince George and I would not have been able to reach that achievement without Todd’s guidance.

Nova Scotia Masters Speed Skating Club & Dartmouth Crossing Speed Skating Club

I've known Todd Landon for ten years, through my personal experience as an athlete, and through my work as a former member of the Board of Directors of Speed Skate Nova Scotia, as President and coach of the Nova Scotia Masters Speed Skating Club, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the new Dartmouth Crossing Speed Skating Club. During these years, I've had a chance to get to know Todd as a speed skating coach, a coach trainer, and a sport organizer.

Todd is an enthusiastic and dedicated coach, whose athletes have thrived and developed to their full potential under his guidance. He has actively recruited new coaches, and mentored them in their development, providing both formal and informal training. He is an experienced sport organizer, having put together competitions, training camps, and workshops in his role as Long Track Coach and Regional Development Mentor for the Atlantic Region.

Todd has been a major contributor to the growth of the sport of speed skating in Nova Scotia, to the success of the speed skating clubs in the province, and to the development of Nova Scotia athletes. He brings a wealth of training and experience, a strong personal work ethic, an openness to new ideas and approaches, a generous attitude to sharing his knowledge and expertise, and a commitment to ensuring a successful outcome, to every challenge he undertakes. It is always a rewarding experience to work with Todd, and I recommend him highly to any future clients.

Olympic Oval University of Calgary Long Track Speed Elite Athlete

2019 - Speed Skating Canada - Mass Start World Championships

Todd was my provincial team coach for many years and coached me up the rankings in both short and long track speed skating. I qualified for the short track team for Canada Winter Games under his guidance. Todd possesses a strong work ethic and his passion for sport was clear in his approach to coaching our team. He always utilized cutting edge technology to help us with visual cues on our technique, and encouraged me to continue speedskating as I have been now 6 more years out in Calgary at the Olympic Oval.
